2010 Canadian Team Shoot-Out
In 2010, the Canadian Team Shoot-Out season will provide golfers throughout Ontario the opportunity to play for fun and win for charity. All participants attempting to qualify will receive an entry gift bag plus the opportunity to win great draw prizes.
Formed with the spirit of delivering a fun and worthwhile event, while encompassing the social responsibility to our community, the Canadian Team Shoot-Out has grown quietly along with those who share our common spirit—Play for Fun, Win for Charity.
Beginning in 2000 CTS Tournament had a little more than half a dozen clubs. Today, we have almost 40 clubs that vie to take part in our events. Events are held primarily at membership based clubs. Each participating course runs a qualifying event which consists of a two person team playing three formats over eighteen holes—six holes scramble, six holes best ball and six holes alternate shot. Winners at these qualifying venues then compete against other winners at the Championship Final.
Besides the opportunity to win fabulous prizes, the final champions also nominate a charity to receive a donation on their behalf from us. (2009 winner nominated Canadian Breast Cancer Society to receive $10,000.)
To date, charities such as The Canadian Cancer Society, The Children’s Wish Foundation, Hospital for Sick Children, and Alzheimers, have benefited in excess of $200,000.
Our qualifying is being held on Sunday, August 8th. For more information, the tournament’s website is www.ctstournament.com.
