This for me is the best week of the year for golf. Not only is the golf course officially opening for 2012 on Thursday April 5th but it is Master’s Week. What better way to kick off our season then with the greatest tradition in golf.
Augusta National may be the most beautiful place on earth at least for golfers anyway. I have never had the pleasure to attend the event but I have friends who have and they can attest to its magnificence. What’s your favorite Master’s moment? Most may say Mike Weir’s win, and don’t get me wrong that was special but my favorite recent memory would be Phil Mickelson in 2004 when he drained the bending putt to win his first green jacket. So what do you expect from this years event. Sunday back 9 heroics? A Tiger Charge? An Unexpected Up and Comer? European? Or young RORY? With the smallest field of any major it’s tough to pick a winner. This year I am picking fellow Ping player Lee Westwood at -12. I think Lee has had a great start to the season and is due for a Major.
